Lume Consulting Group a Sacramento based IT consulting company is looking  for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

Job Description: The Senior Oracle DBA will be responsible for a wide range of database administration tasks including but not limited to:

  • Performing patching, upgrades, installations, and maintenance of Exadata Oracle databases.
  • Managing backup, capacity planning, and disaster recovery operations for Oracle databases.
  • Advising the client on partitioning, storing, and managing Oracle databases efficiently.
  • Executing Disaster Recovery processes for Oracle databases as needed.
  • Troubleshooting failures, production outages, and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge transfer, training, and mentoring of client staff in Oracle database technologies.
  • Providing expertise in Oracle 19c, ASM, RAC, database tuning, and database partitioning.
  • Specializing in Compute Cloud at Customer (OC3) and Oracle Private Cloud at Customer (OPCC).
  • Handling installation and configuration of Oracle Golden Gate software.
  • Installing Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) agents and managing ODI jobs.
  • Leading Exadata Cloud at Customer upgrades from X8 to X10.
Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in creating and updating web-servers, Oracle report servers, Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), Oracle Linux OS, and Oracle RDBMS.
  • Capability to make changes and manage Exadata Cloud at Customer environments.
  • Proficiency in managing Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage Oracle databases across various environments.
  • Experience in developing new applications and improving existing applications.
  • Expertise in creating detailed documentation for upgrades, patches, migrations, performance issues, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Conducting walkthroughs and knowledge transfers with client's development and testing staff.
  • Familiarity with setting up a two-node RAC and an Oracle Grid Infrastructure installation.
  • Leading database migration efforts from Exadata Cloud at Customer (X8) to (X10).
  • Assisting with migrations from Oracle Private Cloud at Customer (OPCC) to Compute Cloud at Customer (C3).
  • Ability to create project plans and document crucial components of migrations.
  • Providing detailed documentation on completed tasks and assisting client staff with decommissioning tasks of older Oracle technology stacks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
